Kundapur, Jul 20: “Now-a-days environmental pollution is a menace to humanity. The air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat are being systematically polluted by human activities such as industrial and economic developments,” said Dr G H Prabhakar Shetty, director of Beary’s Group of Educational Institutes.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Eco Club by planting a sapling in a flower plot at Beary’s Seaside English Medium School here recently.

He further said that the students of Beary’s Seaside English Medium School and Hajji K Mohiddin Memorial High School should be in the forefront in protecting their environment from being polluted by human activities.

The president Hajji Master Mohammed wished Function every success.

Flavia Rebello, Bindu Harish, Arathi, Jayanthi, Santhosh, Harish and Janab Riyaz were present on the occasion. The function began with a prayer and chorus of girl students. Pallavi welcomed the guests while Tariq proposed the vote of thanks. Gautami compered the programme.
