Udupi: Air Deccan Tickets Made Available in Post Offices

Udupi, Oct 18: Now tickets of Air Deccan are available in post offices in  Mangalore, Puttur and Udupi region as the airlines has tied up with postal departments to sell tickets. 

In Udupi region Air Deccan tickets are available in Udupi, Manipal, Kundapur, Moodubelle, Udyavara, Kapu,Katapadi, Padubidri, Shirva,Malpe, Sante Katte, Kunjibettu,Hiriyadaka, Bramhavar, Barkur, Basruru, Koteshwara, Byndoor and Kollur post offices. 

In Mangalore division here are the post offices where one can book air tickets:

Mangalore, Kulashekhar, Kankanady, Kodialbail, Hampanakatta, Balmata, Milagres, Ashoka Nagar, Mangalore Harbour, Panambur, Shrinivasnagar, Suratkal, Mulki, Haleangadi, Kinnigoli, Kinnikambala, Ullal, Mangala Gangothri, Bejai, Bajpe, Konchadi and Katipalla. 

For the convenience of  Puttur vicinity, Air Decan has made the ticket booking facility available at the following post offices; Karkala, Byloor, Puttur, Sullia, Bantwal, Belthangady, Dharmasthala, Jodumarga, Moodbidri, Uppinangady, Vittal, Subrahmanya, Bellare and Dharbe.

    Post Offices should recommend to the Govt following :

    1. All pension accounts to be shifted to Post Offices only. Payment of pension should necessarily be through Post Offices. 2. Only post offices should be permitted to open savings bank account. All accounts with Banks should be closed and shifted to post offices. 3. Post offices should not open any deposit accounts viz nsc etc. 4. Railway tickets/bus tickets/air tickets can be booked through post offices. 5. Ration cards application should be routed through post offices - Since Post man knows each individual, this will rule out bogus ration cards.

    All SB accounts in banks should be desiganted as current accounts and no interest payment should be made. Electric bills/telephone bills/dividened warrants/ share application should be routed through post offices. If these things are taken into consideration, I feel that unwanted/bogus sb accounts and bogus ration cards will get eliminated automatically, because post man knows each and every person who is staying where.
