Mangalore, Oct 19: The city police, on a reliable tip-off, arrested a man possessing deer hide, on Thursday October 18.
He has been identified as Anand Malekudiya (35), a resident of Golithottu near Uppinangadi.
According to the sources, Anand was roaming near the Hampankatta's old bus stand carrying a packet containing the hide in a packet, in a suspicious manner. The police arrested the person as soon as they received the information.
The deer hide has been seized. It was to unofficially to fetch a price of Rs 20,000.
A case has been registered in the north police station.
