Mangalore Oct 19: Regional finale of 'STIMULUS', a civil engineering quiz programme, for final year students will be held by Ultra Tech Cement Ltd at Town hall, here on Thursday October 25 at 5. 45 pm, informed Ananth KR, technical service, Ultra Tech Cement Ltd, at the press conference here on Friday October 19.
The quiz programme will be of two rounds, first the preliminary round and second the regional round. The regional round will be conducted by Giri Balasubramanyam, who is known for his expertise and innovativeness, informed Ananth.
The audience for the programme will be faculty, all the students of civil engineering, leading engineers, architects, consultants in the city, he added.
Winning team will be awarded Rs 5000 each and runners up will receive Rs 3000 each along with the merit certificates, he detailed.
Students studying in and around Dakshina Kannada district may participate in the quiz at NIT-K, MIT, KVG (Sullya), AEC (Bhatkal), NMAIT (Nitte) and VIT (Puttur) on Thursday October 25, he informed.
Whereas those from SIT, Tumkur district may participate in the quiz at SIT, SSIT, GCE, SJCIT, MVIT and Nagarjuna CE on Monday October 29. On Wednesday October 31 students of Mysore district can participate in the quiz which will be held at SJCE, NIE, PES, MCE and AIT. In Bangalore the quiz will be held in all the city colleges, he added.
