Mangalore, Oct 21: A function was organized here at Sanghaniketan to felicitate the newly elected BJP corporators and candidates, on Saturday October 20.

BJP state president D V Sadananda Gowda felicitated on this occasion 32 newly elected corporators alongwith 27 contested candidates who contested but lost the election.

Addressing the elected member he urged them to give more priority to developmental works in the district and attend to the needs of the people.  Moreover, he also congratulated all the newly elected members and thanked them for the hard work they had put in for the betterment of the party.

BJP leaders welcomed Pushparajan, a member of Samajavadi Party who had recently joined BJP and accorded him a warm welcome on this occasion. Ex-minister Nagaraja  Shetty, MLA Yogish Bhat, District president Monappa  Bhandary, ex-MLA Jayarama Shetty  were  also present  on the occasion.
