Bantwal: Teenaged Rider Abdul Rashid Dies in Accident

Bantwal, Oct 23:  A pillion rider was seriously injured while the rider was killed when the bike they were travelling collided with a private bus at Farangipet near here on Monday October 22 evening.

The deceased motor cyclist has been identified as Abdul Rashid (19), a resident of Pallamajal in Modankap village.  Pillion rider Nawaz (17) who was seriously injured in the collision admitted in Omega Hospital here.

Abdul Rashid and Nawaz were on their way to Mangalore when a bus speeding towards Uppinangady collided with their bike at Farangipet.

Bantwal rural police have registered a case against the bus driver for reckless driving and initiated the probe.
