Mangalore, Feb 7:
The 38th Annual Conference of the Jamia Sadia Arabia of Kasargoad was held at the Town Hall here on Wednesday February 6. 

"Only through basic education can development and progress take place in society" declared All India Education Board president Noorul Ullema - M A Abdul Khadeer Musleyaar, while delivering a speech after the inaugural ceremony of the conference.  

With regard to the significance of educational institutions in the region, he opined that leaders of the society should take the lead in revolutionizing education in the country.

The function was presided over by the welcome committee convener Jaffer Sadiq Tanhal Kumbol. Another delegate at the conference Kutumbara Abraham Dharemi presented a paper on the occasion, while Ashraf Sahadi Maloor gave the keynote inaugural speech before the gathering. The chief guest of the function was Kanachoor Haji U K Monu.  

Also present on the occasion were U T Khadeer, Rasak Haji Arakala, Siddique Haji Supreme, A A Hyder Partipadi, Abdul Rauf Puttige, M P Ibrahim Haji Hosangadi, S K Hassan Musleyaar Zaini Kamil, Nekiladi Madane, G M Sakafi, Valevoor Sahadi Abdulla Haji Uppala among others.  

Karnataka Inaugural Committee president G A Bhava welcomed the gathering and K H Ismail Sahadi Kinya proposed the vote of thanks. A music CD of Ummul Muhayeed Sahadi's hymns was also released on the occasion.
