Hubli: Asif Digs out Cache of Hidden Explosives

Hubli, Feb 9: Dharwad police and the CoD interrogating terror suspect Mohammed Asif have recovered a huge cache of explosives from a forest area near Dharwad.

A team of local police and two CoD officials arrived at Alageri, a secluded place near Haliyal, 15 km from Dharwad, to search for the hidden explosives.

Sources said that the search operation went on for three hours between 1 pm and 4 pm, until Asif finally dug out the hidden material.

It is not known how he chose the place, but during interrogation he is said to have revealed that he had camped there for two nights.
