Puttur: Shanmukha Deva High School Celebrates Silver Jubilee

Puttur, Feb 9: The silver jubilee celebrations of Shanmukha Deva High School, Perlampady at Kolthige here were held on Friday February 8.

The programme was inaugurated by zilla panchayat member Asha Thimappa Gowda by lighting the lamp. Taluk president Chanila Thimmappa Shetty hoisted the flag.

Speaking on the occasion, A V Narayana, secretary of Puttur Education Society recalled the progress the school had made since its inception 25 years ago.

The valedictory was held on the same evening during which T Shakunthala Shetty, former MLA, inaugurated newly built classrooms, library, science lab and front elevation of the school.

ZP president K P Sucharitha Shetty released a souvenir on the occasion. Noted journalist V B Arthikaje delivered the valedictory address.

Rama Bhat, former MLA, Srinivas Pai, secretary of Puttur Education Society and Y Shivaramaiah, DDPI
were present.

As part of cultural programmes, classical dance, drama and yakshagana were presented by students.
