Bantwal, Feb 10: The ‘Aksharashree State Award,’ sponsored by the Akshara foundation of Aladapadavu was presented to well-known Kannada comedy writer Bhuvaneshwari Hegade in a function held at Government first grade college, Vamadapadavu on Saturday, February 9.
Pradeepkumar Kalkura, president of the Dakshina Kannada Kannada Sahitya Parishad (DKKSP), presented this award. to the deserving recepient Hegade.
K P Subrahmanya Bhat, principal of the college presided over the function, while Hariprasad Shetty, senior lecturer of the college was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr Ramakrishna S, president of Akshara foundation, secretary H K Nainadu and convener Gopal Anchan were present on the occasion.
