M'lore: Painting Exhibition on Lord's Last Supper from March 15

Mangalore, Mar 14: An exhibition of paintings on 'Lord's Last Supper' will be inaugurated at Orchid Art Gallery at Kadri here on Saturday March 15, announced William Pais of the art gallery at a press conference here on Friday March 14.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by bishop Aloysius Paul D`Souza and Fr Denis D'Sa, administrator of Father Muller Medical College will be the chief guest. The exhibition will be held till Monday March 31, he informed.

Speaking on the types of paintings to be displayed at the exhibition, Pais said 11 artists of Mangalore origin will display their paintings. Moreover, eight of them are not Christians, thus it definitely sets a classical example of communal harmony and religious tolerance, he added.

Swapna Noronha, Anil Devadiga, Anand Bedrala, artists and others were present at the press conference.
