Kapil Sharma on way out? Salman Khan to promote 'Tubelight' with Sunil Grover show

Mumbai, Jun 8 (Agencies): It is indeed a good news to fans of comedian Sunil Grover, but not so to stand-up comedian and actor Kapil Sharma. Sunil Grover, reprising the character of Dr Mashoor Gulati will be back on Sony TV for a programme to promote Salman Khan's Eid release 'Tubelight'.

According to sources, the initial plan of getting Salman Khan on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' was dropped and giving Sunil Grover an independent show was discussed. The show will also feature Ali Asgar, Sugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosale who were part of The Kapil Sharma Show. Dance performances of the kids of Super Dancer and Sabse Bada Kalakar will also be featured.

If Sunil can manage the show successfully, there are plans of launching him with a new comedy show. The two hour show which is said will be shot in a set around Mashoor Gulati’s Clinic, will be hosted by Aparashakti Khurana and there wil be a dance performance by Mouni Roy as well.

Some sources even claimed that it was Salman Khan who decided to do the show with Sunil Grover and others after he learnt about the fallout he has with Kapil Sharma.

It is gathered that the episode will be shot over the next few days and will be aired on June 18.
