JDI between India and Germany on health approved


New Delhi, Jul 12 (IANS): The Union Cabinet on Wednesday gave its approval for signing a Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) between India and Germany in the field of health.

The ex-post facto decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a government statement said, adding that the JDI was signed on June 1.

According to the statement, the JDI covers areas like post-graduate education, training of medical personnel, pharmaceuticals and pharmaco-economics and health economics.

"A working group will be set up to further elaborate the details of cooperation and to oversee the implementation of this JDI," the statement added.
