Kasargod: Car hits motor bike - rider killed

Kasargod, Aug 3: A car and a motor bike collided with each other near the government guest house of Central Plantation Crops Research Institute near Mogralputtur on national highway 66 on Wednesday August 2. In this accident, the bike rider was killed, five persons seated inside the car and a pillion rider were injured.

Marimuthu (29), native of Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu, who worked in a salon at Mogralputtur, who was riding the ill-fated motor bike, lost his life in this accident. Muhammed Kunhi, his wife, Anisa, children, Haneef and Suhara, a relative named Rameesa and pillion rider of the motor bike, Zahir, were injured.

Although Marimuthu, who suffered serious injuries, was shifted to a hospital, he could not be saved. Muhammed Kunhi and Anisa, whose nature of injuries were grave, were admitted into a private hospital at Mangaluru while the others stand admitted into a hospital in the town.
