M'lore: Stephen Quadros Permude to Represent India at World CLC Meet

Mangalore, Jul 25: Stephen Quadros Permude, secretary of the Mangalorean diocesan pastoral council, has been selected to represent India at the World Christian Life Community (CLC) General Assembly to be held at Fatima in Portugal.
CLC is the largest Catholic lay apostolate started in 1556 by Jesuit priest Fr John Lewnis, and is spread over 120 countries. CLCs across the globe are actively involved in serving the needy.
Formerly president of diocesan CLC, Stephen Quadros, is the current national secretary of CLC India. He is actively involved in many service institutions. Working as a selection grade lecturer of history at Government First Grade College (University College), Mangalore, he is also one of the directors of Mangalore Catholic Co-Operative (MCC) Bank.
The world CLC assembly which is held once in five years will be on from Tuesday, August 12, to Friday, August 22. Stephen Quadros will be visiting Ignatian and Jesuit centers at Spain, France, and Italy, from August 22.
