Kundapur: Devotional songs CD released at Vadiraj Math, Gopadi Hoovinakere

Kundapur, Jan 30: A CD of devotional songs, titled 'Shree Vadiraajara Drudha Rijugalendhodi', was released at a programme organized at Hoovinakere in Gopady village near Koteshwar on Monday January 29. It was held in Sri Vadiraja Math at Hoovinakere, as a tribute on behalf of Purohita Ratna Vedamurty the late Madhava Suvarna's
family from Koteshwar region, who happen to be astute devotees of Lord Laxminarasimha, Lord Mukhyaprana, and Sri Vadiraja.

The CD was dedicated to the world by Sri Vishwavallabhateertha Swamiji of Sode Vadiraja Math, Udupi, at Sri Vadiraja Jayanti celebrations organized at the Math on Monday. Speaking after releasing the CD, Sri Vishwavallabhateertha noted that Sri Vadiraja had spread principles preached by Sri Vadiraja all over the world by initiating people into Vaishnava faith, creating hundreds of works, and also authoring hundreds of devotional Kannada songs. "He also provided to people the essence of 'Veerapurana' in lucid language. I appreciate Raveendra Varna, son of Madhava Varna, for bringing out songs of Vadiraja as it is a noble service," he stated.

The current CD has ten songs sung by Sri Vidyabhushana.Two songs are about the Lord and Goddess Laxmi while eight others eulogize Lord Latavya (Riju), who is believed to be the original form of Sri Vadiraja, as the Supreme. These songs were created by Jagannatha Dasa, Vijaya Dasa and others.

Laxmi Varna, Radhakrishna Varna, Raghavendra Varna, Raveendra Varna, Ramakrishna Varna and hundreds of devotees from Koteshwar area were present.
