Mangaluru, Feb 13: A two-day Apostolic Carmel Associates Regional Congress of Karnataka province was held at St Ann’s College of Education on February 10 and 11.
Sr Carmel Rita, the provincial superior, Sr M. Lydia, the general coordinator for ACA, Sr Rose Agnes, the province coordinator, Sr M Sylvette, the animator, and John Lobo from St Joseph’s Unit, Mysuru sub-unit lit the lamp and inaugurated the same.
Sr Carmel Rita welcomed the gathering. Sr M Lydia gave the inaugural address on the theme ‘Following Jesus in the Footsteps of Mother Veronica’ and declared the Congress open.
As many as 160 ACAs and animators of the sub-units from all over Karnataka were present for the same. All of them had an enriching and a memorable experience of togetherness and a spiritual banquet. Fourteen ACAs made their permanent affiliation and dedicated their lives to the service of the church and humanity.
