Karkala: St Joseph’s Church, Belman hold annual retreat

Karkala, Feb 26: Annual retreat of Belman St Joseph’s Church was held from February 19 to 21 at Pakala St Anthony’s Shrine open ground Manjarapalke.

The retreat was successfully conducted by ‘Yesu Sparsha’ group led by Fr Franklin D’Souza, and well-known preachers Bro T K George and Bro William. Belman church parish priest Fr Edwin D’Souza, assistant parish priest Fr Roy Lobo, parish council vice-president Alwyn Agera, secretary Favostine D’Souza, shrine committee vice-president Gregory Menezes, and secretary Gretta D’Souza along with parish council members made all arrangements.



The retreat was attended not only by the people of Belman parish, but also neighboring parishes along with non-Catholics. Every day, more than 1,000 people participated in the retreat. Each and everyone felt that they were touched by Jesus and spiritually healed. This year’s retreat was a grand success and brought a new spiritual vigour and enthusiasm among people.
