Mangaluru: Karavali College distributes monetary help to poor

Mangaluru, Feb 26: “A person can get peace of mind by extending a helping hand to the needy,” said founder president of Karavali Group ofIinstitutes S Ganesh Rao. He was speaking after distributing monetary help to the needy on the eve of his birthday in the Karavali College premises on Sunday, February 25 in a programme held under the aegis of Karavali College and S Ganesh Rao Fans Club.

“A person can achieve novelty if he makes changes in his thoughts and behavior. We should live as human beings by wiping the tears of those who are poor and in distress. We should live with thoughts that we are Indians,” he said.



Cash was distributed to nearly twenty people suffering from illness. Saplings were distributed to guests who conveyed their wishes on the birthday.

Karavali College Group director Latha G Rao, S Ganesh Rao fans club president Ashwin Ballal, secretary Ashwini Kottary, KIT dean Dr Amarnath Shetty, various principals of colleges of Karavali group, Prof R K Bhat, Dr Sridevi, Prof Narayana Swamy, Prof Molly Saldanha, Prof Mohan Naik, Dr Hima Vivekanand and Venkat Rao were present.

“I am a strong aspirant to contest in Vidhan Sabha elections as BJP candidate from Mangaluru south Vidhan Sabha constituency. I am mentally prepared for the contest and 100% hopeful of winning it,” said S Ganesh Rao. “Some people are spreading propaganda that I am not contesting. It is not true. I will definitely contest if the party gives me a ticket. I will work for the candidate selected by the party if I do not get a ticket. I will not contest as an independent. I am influenced by the style of functioning and pro development thinking of the prime minister. That motivated me to contest the elections,” he said.
