Bengaluru, Feb 27: Various organizations working for the welfare of Dalits and backward communities poured out their anger against MP, Shobha Karandlaje for her outbursts at minister, H Anjaneya. They termed her allegations as unfounded and baseless.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday February 26, president of Karnataka Adi Jambava Samiti, C Siddaraju, claimed that Anjaneya has been working to provide maximum grants from the government for backward cases and Dalits. "Anjaneya has been sincerely working for the welfare of exploited classes. Shobha has been unable to appreciate his excellent functioning style. She is wrong in making an effort to indulge in his character assassination," he thundered.

He said that in response to demand from the people of his constituency, the minister had sanctioned 1,800 borewells to his Holalkere constituency. "Shobha, who claims this to be a violation of rules, had seen to it that Yeshwantpura constituency she represented got high grant during her tenure. The minister has done the same thing now," he said, justifying the minister's action.

Members of Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti, Karnataka Adi Jambava Sangha and Dalit Sangharsh Samiti were present.
