Mangaluru: Girl student leaves home for college, remains untraced

Mangaluru, Feb 27: A student of government PU college here, who left her home to attend college, disappeared thereafter. She has been identified as Jyotika (17) from Mudrody, Shaktinagara here.

Jyotika had left her home on the morning of February 23 with the stated purpose of attending her classes. She did not come back in the evening. Her family members launched a search for her at various places including houses of relatives. As there is suspicion that she might have been kidnapped, her father filed complaint in Kadri police station.

Physical features: Jyotika is round-faced, normal built, height 5'5", can speak in Kannada, Tulu and Tamil. Her complexion is dark. She was wearing churidar when she left home.

People having any information about Jyotika have been requested to contact either the control room in the city or Kadri police station, a release stated.
