Mangalore: Monsoon Weakens in Coast

Mangalore, Sep 13: The rain that had been soaking the twin districts since a few days lost its intensity on Friday September 12, although isolated heavy rainfall was reported in some places of the state. The showers continued, leaving gaps in between.

Interior places also received small amounts of rain. Shirali in Uttara Kannada and Kollur received around nine cms of rain while Kota and Agumbe got seven cms. Mulky, Bantwal, Dharmasthala etc., recorded only two cms of rain each.

The meteorological department has predicted that monsoon will continue to be active in the coast and interior places particularly those located in the north-west of the state, in the next two days.
