Chickmagalur, Sep 28: The JMFC court on Saturday September 27, remanded Bajrang Dal state convener K R Mahendra Kumar to judicial custody till October 10. The Bajrang Dal leader was arrested in connection with the attacks on Christian worship centers and has been lodged in Mangalore sub-jail for many days now.

He was brought to the taluk court from Mangalore under heavy security. A complaint was registered at Balehonnur police station against Mahendra Kumar related to an attack on a prayer hall at Jayapura in the taluk. JMFC Judge D Nagaraje Gowda gave the ruling.  Several local Bajrang Dal activists gathered on the court premises Mahendra Kumar was presented in the courtroom.
