Udupi: ‘Navaratri Navarasotsav’ at Sri Krishna Math from Sep 30

Udupi, Sep 29: Gautham S Pai, executive director, Manipal Media, will inaugurate the ‘Navaratri Navarasotsav’ at 5.30 pm on Tuesday September 30, at Sri Krishna Math, informed Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami, in a press conference on Sunday September 28.
 
The programme will be presided over by former minister Nagaraj Shetty.  Chikmagalur MLA C T Ravi, Kumaranath, Mangalore bureau chief, Vijaya Karnataka, Sri Laxmivarateerta Swami of Shiroor Math, Sri Raghumanayateerta of Bheemanakatte Math, will be the chief guests on the occasion, he added.
 
‘Srinivas Kalyan’, a religious discourse, will be held everyday from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm from Tuesday September 30 to October 10.  Navaratna message by Sri Sugunendrateerta Swami will be from 6.30 pm to 7.00 pm, followed by various cultural programmes and blessing of devotees, added the Swamiji.
 
‘Mahadeepa Namotsav’ and public worship of Goddess Durga will be held on Tuesday October 7.  A grand procession will be held on Thursday October 9, as part of Madwa Jayanti and ‘Vijaya Dashami’.
