Mangalore: Central Team Inspects Sea Erosion Affected Places in Ullal

Mangalore, Sep 30: A central team headed by A K Raina, joint secretary in the finance department, visited the sea erosion affected areas in Ullal and inspected the ongoing works on Monday September 29. The team aims at evaluating the way in which the funds sanctioned for the works have been utilized so far and to assess future financial requirements.

The team visited Mukkaccheri, Hileria Nagar, Kaiko, Mogaveerpatna and Kotepura where temporary measures are on to protect people and property against the sea erosion, which has been a regular feature here.

Superintending engineer in the union government's department of road transport Gangadhar, MLA U T Khader, deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao, tahsildar Raju Mogaveera, Ullal municipal president U A Ismail, local leaders Dinesh Rai, Mohammed Mukkaccheri, Stella D'Souza, Ashraf and several others accompanied the team.
