Bangalore: Milk Price Hike Imbroglio - Solution in Sight

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Oct 1: The state government has convened a meeting of Karnataka Milk Federation president and governing council with its representatives, to discuss the issue of milk price hike on Friday October 3.

This meeting might suceed in thawing the relationships between the government and KMF, which had gone sore in the recent weeks. While the government has stuck to its guns, claiming that the subsidy of two rupees a litre announced by it will take care of the cost of raw materials and hike in milk prices was not justified, KMF is adamant on hiking prices of milk across the board by two rupees a litre.

The KMF governing council will meet on Thursday October 2, to make preparations for the next day's meeting.
