M'lore: Roy Castelino Re-elected President of Konkani Prachar Sanchalan

Mangalore, Oct 2: Well-known Konkani activist Roy Castelino has been r-elected as the president of Konkani Prachar Sanchalan for the year 2008 - 09. He was elected in an annual general body meeting of Sanchalan held in the city recently. Noted Konkani writer and orthopedic surgeon Dr Edward Nazareth has been elected as the secretary of the Sanchalan.

Konkani Prachar Sanchalan has been working for the successful implementation of Konkani as third language in the schools across the state.

While Luvi Pinto and Narayan Kharvi have been elected as vice-presidents, Gladys Rego has been elected joint secretary. Stany Alvares is the new treasurer. Eric Ozario, Denis D Silva, Victor Mathias, Rony Crasta and Naveen Lobo are the committee members.
