Mangaluru: Biruver Kudla urges MLA Vedavyas Kamath to rename Ladyhill circle

Mangaluru, Sep 9: Friends Ballalbagh Biruver Kudla submitted a memorandum to Mangaluru south MLA Vedvyas Kamath urging him to rename Ladyhill circle after Brahmashree Narayana Guru.

In the memorandum, the association stated that the present name was given during the rule of British. "The procession during world famous Kudroli Dasara passes by this circle. It is one of the important circles in the city. Hence the circle must be named after Brajmashree Narayana Guru since he treated every human being equally irrespective of their religion. The circle should be renamed before the start of this year's Dasara."

MLA after receiving the memorandum said that he has written to the chief minister. "It will take time since we do not have our government in power. BJP is ready to extend its support in the council in this regard."

Association founder president Udaya Poojary Ballalbagh, Vasanth Poojary Padil, Biruver Kudla women's wing president Vidya Rakesh, Rakesh Kumar, Kishore Babu, Rakesh Chilimbi, Yashwin, Manish Chilimbi, Vignesh Chilimbi, Bharath Bangera, Pranesh Bangera, Kiran Shetty, Kiran Kulal Urva, Rinith Ashok Nagar, Mahesh Ashoknagar, Lohith Gatty, Mamatha Praveen, Veena Poojary, Bhanumathi, Nayana Kotian, Nayana Vishwanath and Jayalaxmi were present.
