Kundapur: Illegal slaughter house raided - two arrested

Kundapur, Sep 10: A police team led by assistant sub-inspector here raided an illegal slaughterhouse functioning near Kody on the night of Saturday September 8, and arrested two persons. Two others however managed to flee during the raid.

The slaughterhouse was functioning behind the house of Rafique near Ghousia Complex near Kody. The police got information that bovine animals were being slaughtered there. During the raid, Muhammed Mustafa, and Muhammed Alfar were arrested. Rafique Kody and Zubair Hangalur ran away and escaped. The police found two cattle at the spot, which were stolen from Basrur Mooru Kai area in the town.

Pelts and other items relating to animals which were already slaughtered were recovered. On being produced before the judge, both were remanded to judicial custody.
