Bantwal, Sep 15: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, U T Khader, advised the officials not to indulge in discrimination as far as distribution of title deeds is concerned. He was speaking after distributing title deeds at a programme organized at the auditorium of the taluk panchayat here on Friday, September 14 evening.
The minister wanted the officials to function in such a way that the people do not face any problem relating to conversion of land, documentation, and other issues.
Some citizens of Thumbay village brought to his notice the fact that Bapuji Seve Kendras opened to serve the people have not been able to function properly because of certain inherent problems. Khader, who consulted the officials, questioned them about the inability of such centres, which have been opened to provide quick service to the people, in providing service.
Khader said that district level Karnataka Development Programme meeting will be held at Mangaluru on September 20 and that taluk level progress review meeting will also take place. He wanted the officials to ensure that he does not get any complaints from the people. "We have the responsibility of identification of beneficiaries within the jurisdiction of respective Anganwadys, collect information about them, and see that people get benefit of government schemes. If there are any shortcomings, the officials would be held responsible," he warned.
Zilla panchayat member, Chandraprakash Shetty Thumbay, Manjula Madhava Mave, and others were present.
