Puttur, Nov 26: A march was jointly organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) and the Bajarang Dal on Tuesday November 25.
In Hindu society, it is not possible to evoke unity unless untouchability is kept at bay, said Guru Devananda Swamiji, Odiyoor Math, at the march held to organize Hindu society and keep away terrorism and religious conversion.
Speaking on the occasion, N Sitram, convener, Religious Awareness Region, said that people are killing innocent Hindus in the name of ‘Islamic Jihad’, which is destroying the security of the country. He asked intelligent and refined Muslims to help save the nation from the few who were seeking to divide India.
Dhanya Kumar Rai, district president, Vishwa Hindu Parishat, presided over the function, while Praveen Kombettu, city president, VHP, was present on the occasion. Radhakrishna Bhat, president, VHP, delivered the keynote address on the occasion.
Muralikrishna Hasamtadka, convener, Bajarang Dal, Puttur, welcomed the gathering. Lakshman Bellipady proposed the vote of thanks. Ashok Ragikumeru, convener, compered the programme. The march commenced from Darbe circle and concluded at Kille Maidan.
