In his inaugural speech Krishna J Palemar said, “Trees play a critical role in our existence on the earth. They provide us with numerous products that we utilize in our daily lives, from food to furniture, paper to cosmetics and a host of products in between. The quality of our atmosphere and our climate depends in great measure on our trees and forest cover.”

“Day by day we are becoming slaves of technology and forgetting loving the nature and atmosphere. No one is bothered about climate change. During natural calamities, we all are blaming the nature but we never discuss how we have treated our earth. But it is the time to think and take immediate initiatives to save this earth. Our young generation should take responsibility. If they come forward it is very easy to convert entire areas as green,” he added.

In his speech Ananth Prabhu G said, “Along with academic activities, Vikas PU College encourages the extra-curricular activities. “Tree Plantation-2018” is one of the important programmes organized by management and students this year. Besides this, we had many programmes mainly focusing on awareness about greenery and saving our nature. When these programmes are conducted by educational institutions, it will reach the society easily. Our college takes this as a mission and will organize series of programmes with the same motto in upcoming days.”
