Mangaluru: Youth who fell from building while welding three days ago dies

Mangaluru, Dec 30: A young man who had fallen from a building while welding and was seriously injured, three days ago, has died without responding to treatment in A J hospital, today.

The deceased Akshay (22) is son of Vasanth, resident of Vidyaranyanagar, Ullal. Akshay lost balance and fell down while doing welding work in a building in Mangaluru and sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to A J Hospital, Mangaluru. It is said that the doctors there treated him for fractures but did not examine for injuries inside the stomach. His friends allege that he died because of that.

Akshay was a good cricketer and a member of Swastik Cricketers, Ullal. He had a large number of friends and was soft spoken. Subhashnagar, Kuthar resident also named Akshay who died in the bike accident in Honnakatte, Surathkal on November 13 was his close friend.

Akshay is survived by his father, mother, sister and brother.
