Mangaluru: Two accused of stealing mobile phones arrested

Mangaluru, Dec 30: Mangaluru CCB police have arrested two accused of stealing mobile phones from ‘student house’ building near Deralakatte, Ullal police station limits.

The arrested are Mohammed Akbar (22), resident of Shantibhag, near Yenepoya hospital and Mohammed Musavir (23), resident near Fathima hostel, Shantibhag.

Accused Lukman, Akbar and two other men had entered Sahal student house near Yenepoya hospital, Deralakatte, Kotekar on December 22 when residents Lenin and Vishnuprakash were in.

Lukman, Akbar and two other men, assaulted and kicked Lenin and Vishnuprakash T P and snatched Samsung mobile worth Rs 8,000, sim, a mobile worth Rs 10,000 and sim belonging to Vishnuprakash. A police case in this connection was registered at Ullal police station.
