Mangaluru, Dec 31: St Aloysius college mourned the sudden death of IPS officer Dr Madhukar Shetty.

In his condolence message, Dr Praveen Martis, principal of the college said, "St Aloysius College (autonomous) of the city expresses deep shock and sorrow on the untimely demise Madhukar Shetty, IPS officer. Dr Madhukar was an alumnus of St Aloysius High school and college. The institution expresses pride in the fact that he was the most honest and efficient police officer. May his soul rest in peace and may God give enough strength to his family to bear this tragic loss."
