Kasargod: Scooter rider crushed by KSRTC bus

Kasargod, Dec 30: A scooter rider was killed and pillion rider suffered serious injuries after the two-wheeler they were seated was knocked down by a bus of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation.

The accident happened on the evening of Saturday December 29 at Shiriya on national highway 66. Eyewitnesses blamed recklessness of the bus driver for the accident.

The victim was Abdul Basit (22), son of Abdul Khader, resident at first signal, Manjeshwar.

Due to the accident, the scooter along with its riders had slipped under the bus. The locals immediately acted to bring both of them out of the spot. The bus driver presented himself at the police station.
