Kundapur: Rotary Club donates bus to Vandse Government School

Kundapur, Jan 1: Rotary Club, identified in international circles donated a school bus worth Rs 16,50,000 to Vandse Government School out of the combined global grant of Rs 26 lac from Rotary Kundapur south, Rotary club Gangolli, International Rotary donation fund, Canada Rotary district 7070 and Rotary club Parkwood.

Rotary district 3182 district governor Rotarian Abhinandan Shetty said that Rotary has been playing a major part in eradicating polio. “The organization is eager to do good for the people. Similarly Rotary Club can be opened in Vandse also,” he said.

Sadananda Chatra of Rotary district 3182 said that well equipped toilet, computer, projector, technical training for teachers and English teaching skills will be provided in the school.

Gangolli Rotary president Ramanath Nayak presided over the programme. Zone 1 Rotary assistant governor K Subhaschandra Shetty, Rotary Kundapur south president Johnson D’Almeida, Global grant programme coordinator, Gangolli Rotary former president H Ganesh Kamath, Mookambika charitable trust secretary, grama panchayat president Udayakumar Shetty, schol headmistress Mohini Bayi, school SDMC president Manjunath Ganiga A G were present.



School headmistress Mohini Bayi welcomed the gathering. Rotary Club Kundapur Rotary fund president G Sridhar Shetty compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
