Udupi, Jan 2: New Year 2019 has dawned very brightly to the Youth of St Joseph's Church, Belman. As the year 2019 has been declared as the 'Year of Youth' in the diocese of Udupi, there was a sense of joy and happiness amidst these New Year celebrations to the youth of the diocese.

St Joseph's Church, Belman, witnessed the inauguration of the 'Year of Youth' at the festal Mass of Mary the Mother of God. Fr Edwin D'Souza, parish priest and director of the Diocesan Youth Commission unveiled the logo of the ‘Year of Youth’ along with the assistant priest, vice-president and secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, the youth animators, the coordinator of 18 Commissions and the president of ICYM and YCS Belman unit.

Prayers were offered for the well-being of the youth and their dedicated love for the universal church. After the Eucharistic celebration, the youth arranged a wonderful event so as to make this ‘Year of Youth’ a special one. Thus, the Eve of the New Year 2019 brought much cheer and joy to all parishioners.
