Puttur: JCB operator electrocuted - tipper driver sentenced for negligence

Puttur, Jan 2: In connection with an incident in which the operator of a JCB mounted on a tipper was killed after the JCB that was transporting the JCB accidentally came in contact with high tension power line passing above, the tipper driver was fond guilty of negligence and sentenced by a court here on Tuesday January 1.

In the said incident, Jatin Kumar (22) from Keremaru in Ariyadka village had been electrocuted. The incident had happened on June 8, 2013. The traffic police here, who had registered case of negligent driving against tipper driver, Seetharam from Nehru Thota in Hirebandady village, investigated the case and filed charge sheet in the court.

 

The tipper driver has been awarded six monthsimprisonment along with fine of Rs 1,000 by the court. Assistant pubic prosecutor, Devendra P, had represented the prosecution in the case.
