Udupi, Jan 3: Palimar Math’s head Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swamiji has said that violating religious constitution with regard to entry of women to Sabarimala temple is not correct.

Speaking to news reporters on Wednesday, January 2, he said the entry of women to Sabarimala temple is not banned completely. “There are only rules that women within particular age should not enter. Entering the temple out of devotion is not wrong. There should be no forced entry,” he said.

“There is certain decorum on government level and those are being followed mandatorily. Similarly there is certain religious constitution in temples. It is not right to violate traditions that existed for ages. It is necessary to review Supreme Court verdict,” he opined.
