Puttur: Mason’s fatal fall from building accounts for his life

Puttur, Jan 3: A mason working on an under-construction building lost his life after he lost balance and fell down. This incident happened on the night of Tuesday January 1 at Sampya in Aryapu village in the taluk.

The victim of the accident was Azizul Sheikh (45) from West Bengal. He was working on Madrassa building in the second floor of a building adjacent to Sampya mosque along with five other fellow workers. These workers used to stay for the night at the same building.

On account of New Year, the workers had taken a day off work. Azizul Sheikh, who was lighting a mosquito coil by the side of the building to get rid of mosquito menace suddenly lost his balance and fell down to the ground, and instantly died, it is gathered.

On the basis of complaint made by Rakhibul S K, who had taken the work of the building on contract, about the incident in Sampya police station, the police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
