Mangaluru: Gang sets canteen afire for food bill asked to be paid

Mangaluru, Jan 4: In a bizarre incident that occurred on the night of Thursday January 3, miscreants set a canteen on fire for having been asked to pay the food bill for the food they consumed there.

This incident is reported from Kapikad near Ullal on the outskirts of the city. The canteen is owned by Abid, a resident of Halekote, Ullal. As per reports, the gang led by Ravoof, a resident of Kumpala carried out this arson attack.

The locals had anxious moments as the neighbouring district of Kasaragod is facing disturbances in the wake of the Sabarimala issue.



Ullal police visited the spot and conducted investigation.
