Udupi, Jan 5: In the backdrop of a fishing boat and seven fishermen attached to it having gone missing under mysterious circumstances, state home minister, M B Patil, will visit the city on Saturday January 5.

The minister has requested his party activists as well as leaders and general public not to offer him flowers, garlands or felicitation during this visit, as he is coming to hold a meeting relating to the fishermen's disappearance. I am coming there to meet the families and take steps abut the missing people. Therefore, I request everyone not to extend me any felicitation or bouquets."
