Udupi: Unique protest held by postal employees

Udupi, Jan 9: On the second of the nationwide strike, Udupi Grameen postal employees protested in a unique way on Wednesday January 9 in front of the head post office in the city .

Postal worker Raghavendra Prabhu expressed his anger against the government in a unique way by shading half his face black and wearing a flower on both the ears, expressing his protest and criticizing the central government for cheating postal workers by not fulfilling their demands over the last four and half years.

During the protest, the president of Union Vijaya Nayari said, "New pension plan should be cancelled and old pension plan must be implemented. Kamalesh Chandra Committee Report must be implemented and rural Dak employees must be considered as permanent employees. They also demanded outsourcing and privatization of Postal Department to be stopped."



Suresh K, Vasudev Thottam, H Umesh Naik, N A Nejaru, Ashwath Kumar, Subas Thingalaya, Krishna Shettigar, Narasimha Naik and others were present.
