Byndoor: Pedestrian standing near road at Golihole killed by car

Byndoor, Jan 10: A pedestrian who was waiting to cross the state highway near Areshirur bus stand in Golihole village near here lost his life after a car hit him. The incident happened on Wednesday January 9.

The victim has been identified as Balayya Sherugar (50) from Areshirur. He had parked his bicycle by the side of the road and was about to cross the road when tragedy struck.

Balayya was unmarried. He used to work as pump operator in Golihole gram panchayat. A case about the incident was registered in Byndoor police station.
