Bengaluru, Jan 10: Actor Puneeth Rajkumar, in tune with the requirement of income tax (IT) officials who had raided his residence, visited the IT office in the city on Wednesday January 9 and provided clarification on points raised by the officials.

Puneeth was in the IT office for two hours. The officials collected details of the extent of his involvement with cinema and other businesses, sources of his income, and whether tax was promptly paid on them, it is said The IT department sources said that they also questioned the actor about certain documents they had recovered during the above raid.

The 'Power Star' was also grilled about receipt of remuneration for acting in cinemas and advertisements in cash. The officials also questioned about the reasons behind accepting cash instead of cheque or other modes of payment. Puneeth reportedly has been getting income running into crores of rupees every year, and the officials are verifying the amount of taxes paid by him on his income so far.
