Mandya: Siddaramaiah's escort vehicle meets with accident - SI dies of shock

Mandya, Jan 10: Six escorts forming part of security escort vehicles accompanying former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, were involved in a serial accident at Gowdahalli in Srirangapatna taluk in the district on Wednesday January 9.

No one was injured in the incident, but a police official who was in one of the vehicles which were involved in the accident, breathed his last on Wednesday evening.

Mari Gowda (56), sub-inspector of Mandya district armed reserve police force, was the policeman who died on Wednesday evening. Mari Gowda had registered a complaint about the escort vehicles of Siddaramaiah meeting with serial accident near Gowdahalli - T M Hosur Gate when the leader was going to Mysuru from Bengaluru. It is believed that he was shocked at the incident and lost his life because of it.
