Udupi: Students Write Peace Messages on Sadbhavana Banner

Udupi, Jan 30: Hundreds of students of Ucchila Saraswati High School wrote messages of peace and unity on the 2.5 km long Sadbhavana banner made by the district Congress Seva Dal on Thursday January 29. The banner is part of a campaign aimed at creating  awareness among people about the consequences of terrorism.

Former minister Vasant V Salian, addressing the gathering, said that students should be united in staging a struggle against terrorism.  Every citizen of our country including the youth should come forward to protect the country from terrorist activities, he said.

Ucchila Saraswati High School headmaster B S Acharya, primary school head teacher Sarojini Kumari, Ucchila Bada gram panchayat president Yashoda Kumarr Kotian, vice- president Abdul Khader and other local Congress leaders were present.

    Mr. Vasant Salian, The unity can come only when each young man and woman when completes 18 years of age undergoes two years military/navy/airforce training as part of their curriculum. Can Indians think of this, so that they are well equiped even physically to fight against outside terrorists and inside hooligans.
