Kundapur: DVS, Kumaraswamy Pay Obeisance to Goddess Mookambika

Kundapur, Feb 14: Karnataka State unit presidents of both the BJP and JD (S) sought the blessings of Goddess Mookambika in Kollur on Friday February 13, presumably to seek divine intervention to ensure victory for their respective parties in the ensuing Loksabha election.

BJP State president D V Sadanand Gowda (DVS), who also happens to be the party's Loksabha candidate from Udupi, performed Chandika Homa at Kollur. Ex-chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, who arrived here on Thursday evening, offered special puja to the Goddess on Friday morning, before proceeding to Mangalore to take part in a private programme there.

Byndoor MLA Lakshminarayan, Tingale Vikramarjun Hegde, Baikady Suprasad Shetty, Sudhir K S, Kundapur municipal councillor Rajesh Kaveri etc., accompanied DVS during the puja.

The two leaders were all smiles when they came face to face while prostrating to Lord Veerabhadraswami, a family deity of the temple.

Temple executive officer L S Maruti, trustee Sablady Manjaiah Shetty, Kishore Hegde, JD (S) district president Deviprasad Shetty and several other JD (S) leaders were present.
