Mangalore, Feb 20:  An arrested activist of the Indian Mujahideen has confessed that explosives used in serial blasts last year including Gujarat had been sent from Manipal. He also is said to have revealed, that the sketch for these blasts had been drawn at the Batla House, New Delhi.

In the charge sheet filed in the local court on Tuesday February 17, the policemen said, that arrested accused Mohammed Sayif made these revelation during his interrogation by the investigating officers.

He is said to have stated, that Batla House was used as the main centre by the terrorists. Plans for various terrorist activities in the country had been drafted there. A person from Udupi had provided explosives for setting off blasts in Delhi and that they were brought to the country's capital by train, he is said to have informed.

It may be recalled, that recently, a Delhi police officer named Mohan Chandra Shrama had died in an encounter at Batla House Delhi, but many including some political parties had dubbed it as fake encounter. The policemen who arrested four persons from Mangalore last year had also said that explosives had been sent by train from Manipal.

As per the information collected by the police from Sayif, Indian Mujahideen works in three groups. Shahabuddin is leading the southern India attacks while a   team led by Mohammed Gajnavi takes up responsibilities for attacks in north India. Another team, meant for launching attack on dignitaries, is led by Shahid Ali Jarkavi, he is said to have confessed.

The charge sheet also claims that the terror suspects have in their possession, equipment and capability to throw the entire computer network out of gear and that some of their team members were trained in Hyderabad for hacking. Founder of the organization Riyaz Bhatkal had given leadership of the media section to software expert Peerbhoy. The police team also has gathered the information that Peerobhoy used to send e-mail messages to the media through his followers, Mubin Sheikh and  Asif.
